Do you know the song “Is that all there is ?”, fantastically performed by Peggy Lee ?
She tells us about life experiences that keep disappointing her. The family house burning down, a visit to the circus as a child, losing her first love… not quite what she expected it to be.

Then why not end it all, right now ? Ironically, she wants to put off what is surely going to be a final disappointment for a bit. Funny girl !

But it’s the refrain that stuck with me.
It’s the kind of tune that is hard to get out of your head once it gets in there :

Is that all there is, is that all there is?
If that’s all there is my friends, then let’s keep dancing
Let’s break out the booze and have a ball
If that’s all there is

This is going to be my tune for 2022 ! 

With all that’s going on right now, let’s not forget to keep dancing ! Booze is optional…
So don’t put off inviting your friends for a warm get-together. Tell people you love them if you do.
Act a little crazy now and then. Celebrate life the way you feel is right for you. Make art, in your own special way.
Dance !
